All movement is referenced from anatomical position (standing up tall with palms forward) unless otherwise noted.

  1. Flexion of the lower leg at the knee (leg curl) is movement in the sagittal plane around the frontal axis.
  2. Lateral flexion of the trunk at the spine (side bend) is movement in the frontal plane around the sagittal axis.
  3. Internal rotation of the leg at the hip (turning the leg inward) is movement in the transverse plane around the vertical axis.
  4. A jumping Jack is multi joint movement in the frontal plane around the sagittal axis.
  5. Jogging forward is multi joint movement in the sagittal plane around the frontal axis.
  6. A twisting curl up lying supine (face up) is movement in the transverse plane around the vertical axis.
    (Hint: Same movement as #5, only in supine position.)
