Land Exercises - Level 2 - Scratch Your Back

Equipment: Small face towel.

Position: Standing with the towel behind ones back. The affected arm is holding the towel behind the ear and the unaffected arm is holding it behind ones back.

Description: Slowly try to bring the affected shoulder and elbow out to the side without moving your body as you pull down with the unaffected arm. You should feel a stretch in the chest and axillary region. You can also do this exercise to promote shoulder internal rotation by holding the towel with the affected arm behind your lower back.
