Starting Position:
  • Standing; pool noodle placed behind the shoulders and under each arm
  • Hands placed on ends of pool noodle
  • Scapula stabilized
  • Neutral spine and pelvis
  • Hips abducted and laterally rotated with feet together (diamond/frog)
Action
  • Inhale: while focusing on expanding the rib cage laterally and posteriorly; stabilize shoulders
  • Exhale: while clapping feet and hands simultaneously 1 - 3 times
  • Inhale: while returning to starting position
  • Exhale: forcefully while engaging core and articulating the spine from coccyx upward to supine position
  • Inhale: while maintaining torso stability
  • Exhale: while clapping hands and feet 1 - 3 times in supine position
  • Inhale: while maintaining torso stability
  • Exhale: forcefully while engaging core and articulating the thoracic spine downward to return to starting position
