Karate Kicks
Key Points: Maintain proper alignment with sideway reach- avoid bending forward
Execution:
- Bend right knee to 90°, then extend (kick) right leg to side while leaning to left. Bring knee in and extend leg down.
- Repeat on both sides
- Arms are held outward from shoulders for balance
Benefits: Muscle balance. Performing movement in the frontal plane (side to side) rather than always forward and backward
