Muscles Worked: Arms and Shoulders- Multi Joint
Water Depth: Armpit level or slightly lower when standing upright.
Stance: Front to back lunge position, squatting with shoulders submerged, arms at sides.
Action: Sweep the arms from the shoulder with each hand making a figure 8 in front and side of the body. This is a multi joint and multi planar movement involving the arms and shoulders.
Cues: There will be some movement in the shoulder girdle as the arms rotate and circumduct and the forearms supinate and pronate. Contract the core to keep the body still and grounded.
