049 Static Stabilization

Single Leg Stance: Glute Pendulum

Starting Position:
Starting in a single leg stance with a strong foot position bring the opposite leg behind into a single leg deadlift or hip extension position.

Muscles Targeted:
Gluteus medius and maximus

Keeping one leg extended, slowly lift the chest while lowering the extended leg. Short foot should be engaged while the chest is lifted to stabilize the standing leg and target deep stabilizers.
