033 Handbar Exercises

Shoulder Flexion/Extension

Starting Position: Stand with legs shoulder width apart, elbows soft.

Base Exercise:

  • Depress scapula
  • From the shoulder, move the handbars forward and backward

Progressions:

  • Progress to tandem stance
  • Progress to reciprocal arms - one arm swings forward while the other arm swings backward
  • Progress to ski/scissors
  • Progress to symmetrical arms - both arms swing forward and backward at the same time
