041 Handbar Exercises

Forward Plank

Starting Position: Stand with legs shoulder width apart

Base Exercise:

  • Depress scapula
  • Handbars held in front of body
  • Fall forward onto tiptoes
  • Balance and hold


  • Gently press and pulse handbars underwater 1-3 inches
  • Push handbars straight down; balance and hold
  • Lift one leg; balance and hold
  • Switch legs; balance and hold
  • Bring legs apart; balance and hold
  • Lift and lower both handbars
  • Lift and lower one handbar at a time
  • Change cadence of handbars to single, single, double
