014 Sample Barefoot Training Exercises

When designing a progressive barefoot balance training program that can be used for neuromuscular activation, corrective exercise, or as part of a group fitness class, progression is important.

Barefoot balance training should be seen as a form of neuromuscular training, which means the nervous system needs to be progressively challenged and not fatigued.

All barefoot balance programming should start with a neuromuscular warm-up, followed by static balance exercises (static stabilization) and ending with dynamic balance (dynamic stabilization) exercises.
